Good · Better · Best
These packages are a guideline — we tailor a custom proposal to every project. Each package covers the core build only (foundation, framing, decking, railing). All three feature Deckorators decking: Foundation uses Venture's traditional wood-plastic composite, while Elevated (Summit) and Pinnacle (Voyage) step up to Deckorators' Surestone® mineral-based composite. Stairs, lighting, privacy panels, pergolas, and other add-ons are available and priced separately.
A strong, straightforward composite build with a clean, functional layout. Built on Deckorators Venture — traditional wood-plastic composite with a scratch-resistant cap and 95% recycled content.
A step up in finish, flexibility, and core technology. Built on Deckorators Summit Surestone® mineral-based composite — lighter, more water-resistant, and more dimensionally stable than traditional composite.
Our premium option: steel framing and top-tier composite. Built on Deckorators Voyage Surestone® mineral-based composite — fully submersible, barefoot-friendly, with the longest warranty in the line.
A note on package pricing
These ranges are a guideline. We tailor a custom proposal to every project — adding the options that fit your home, your priorities, and your budget.
Ranges cover the core deck structure only (foundation, framing, decking, railing). Stairs, larger landings, privacy walls, lighting, pergolas, deck height adjustments, and skirting are priced separately. The 120–300 sq ft range anchors the pricing for reference — we build to suit any size.
Built stronger from the frame up
Simcoe Decks has installed 100+ steel-frame structures over the last 6 years — and hosted the first Fortress Evolution Steel Framing Masterclass in North America, in partnership with Fortress.
It's not the right call for every project — but when it is, it's definitely worth considering. It's the closest thing in decking to a "built once, built right" structural decision.

Trust & Answers
"We spent months researching composite decking before we called Michael. There wasn't a sales pitch — just clear trade-offs between the different types of composite decking. You can tell how passionate he is about the industry, and we were amazed by how much knowledge he shared in such an easy-to-digest way. We came in confused and left knowing more than we ever expected to."
"Honestly? It's the attention to detail. Every board lined up just right, every edge finished properly, every little thing done with care. Stuff most people probably wouldn't even notice — but you can tell the team really wanted to get it right. Communication was great throughout, too. The deck feels solid, looks beautiful, and our neighbours haven't stopped complimenting it."
"I'll be honest — we balked at the cost of upgrading to steel framing over pressure-treated. Michael laid out the trade-offs and let us decide. We took the leap — and three winters later the deck hasn't moved a millimetre. So glad we made that call."
Our package pricing is a guideline based on builds in the 120–300 sq ft range — we tailor a custom proposal to every project with all the options that fit your home.
Foundation · $15K–$25K
Elevated · $18K–$35K
Pinnacle · $20K–$45K
Included in package pricing: foundation, framing, decking, and the railing system listed for each tier.
Priced separately: stairs, larger landings, privacy walls or screens, lighting packages, pergolas, fire features, hot tub integration, additional deck height, and skirting or base enclosure.
We build to suit any size — the 120–300 sq ft range simply anchors the package pricing as a starting point. The Planning Session narrows everything to a real number for your specific project, priced by category so you see what each part costs.
A 30-minute call or in-person visit. We walk through every product and option that makes sense for your project — permits, foundations, framing, decking, railings, lighting, add-ons — and explain the trade-offs at each step. You leave with a clear understanding of what your deck should be and the package that fits your budget.
Pressure-treated wood is the standard and right for most decks. Steel framing typically runs about double the cost of pressure-treated upfront but carries a lifetime structural warranty and won't twist, rot, or sag. For slope lots, long spans, multi-level builds, and projects where you want zero structural maintenance for decades, it usually earns the premium. We'll tell you honestly which one your project needs — and when wood is the smarter call.
Foundation ($15K–$25K): Deckorators Venture decking, pressure-treated framing, helical piles, aluminum picket railing. A strong, straightforward composite build.
Elevated ($18K–$35K): Deckorators Summit decking, upgraded pressure-treated framing (or steel framing upgrade — your choice), helical piles, aluminum railing (glass optional). A step up in finish and flexibility.
Pinnacle ($20K–$45K): Deckorators Voyage decking, full steel framing system (recommended for this tier), helical piles, maintenance-free glass railing. Top-tier composite, customization, and long-term performance.
These ranges are a guideline based on 120–300 sq ft builds. We tailor a custom proposal to every project with all the options that fit your home, your priorities, and your budget.
The important distinction: Venture is a traditional wood-plastic composite (WPC), while Summit and Voyage use Deckorators' Surestone® mineral-based composite (MBC) — a different core technology. Both perform well; MBC adds superior water resistance, lighter weight, and better dimensional stability. Here's the honest breakdown:
Venture · Good WOOD-PLASTIC COMPOSITE
Best for: budget-conscious buyers who want a strong entry into composite decking without the premium pricing — and don't need MBC's higher-end performance features.
+ Pros: Most affordable Deckorators tier · 25-year structural and stain/fade warranty · 95% recycled materials · Scratch-resistant cap for daily wear · Clean, functional aesthetic.
− Trade-offs: Traditional WPC (heavier and slightly more dimensional change than Surestone MBC) · Solid colours only · Simpler brushed surface · 3 colour options.
Summit · Better SURESTONE® MBC
Best for: most premium projects — where the wood-look aesthetic matters and the budget allows a step up to mineral-based composite.
+ Pros: Deckorators Surestone® mineral-based composite (lighter, more water-resistant, less expansion/contraction) · Multi-chromatic colour streaking · Embossed wood-grain texture · Strong cost-to-aesthetic balance.
− Trade-offs: No hardened cap layer like Voyage · Colour depth and palette are smaller than Voyage · Mid-tier positioning.
Voyage · Best SURESTONE® MBC
Best for: high-end builds where the deck should outperform and outlast everything else around it.
+ Pros: Surestone® mineral-based composite — fully submersible, barefoot-friendly · Deepest multi-tonal colour, most realistic wood-look · Hardened cap layer for max durability · 50-year warranty (longest in the line) · Widest colour palette (6 options).
− Trade-offs: Highest cost per square foot · Premium pricing may be more than needed for smaller or simpler projects.
There's no universally "right" tier — the best one depends on your property, how long you plan to be in the home, and what kind of aesthetic you want. The Planning Session walks you through these trade-offs with physical samples so you can choose with the actual product in hand.
No. We compete on what's in the deck — materials, framing, railing, fasteners, warranty — not on the price tag. If lowest price is what matters most, we won't be the right fit, and we'll tell you that honestly.
